Thought ya might like to see what goes through MY back yard

Well, guess either you guys changed the rules, or photobucket did, or I just plain dummied out on puttin' on pics. Oh, well

Go back to Photobucket, find your pic, click on it to maximize, copy the address in the "direct link" window, paste it in the URL window in the image download link, here. Make sure you maximize the photo though, as it sometimes doesn't work if the photo is in the minimized mode.

Ordered from Bath Iron Works, Bath, ME on 23 January 1978 as part of the FY78 program, John L. Hall was laid down on 5 January 1981, launched on 24 July 1981, and commissioned on 26 June 1982.

On August 28, 2005, she sailed from her home port, NS Pascagoula, Mississippi, along with sister ship Stephen W. Groves under threat from Hurricane Katrina.

As of 2007, she remains active, commanded by Commander Augustus P. Bennet, assigned to Destroyer Squadron 14, and homeported at NAVSTA Mayport, Florida.

John L. Hall (FFG-32) is the first ship of that name in the US Navy.

You must live up near Bath Iron Works or at least on the way.
As a kid I loved it up there when the rest of the family could not wait to get back to the island at Sabasco.
Sometimes I really do miss it up there until every time I talk to my brother over the winter. About every phone call ends with, "I have to go shovel or plow some snow." :eek:

About 100 miles "Down East" of Bath. And yeah, I'd have a longer reply, but I gotta go plow some snow.
