Can i cut holes in the lounge seat boxes to install speakers? I have a 1996 bayliner and the boxes are completely sealed. Are these boxes hollow?

Are the boxes watertight? I have a 95 Suncruiser and they have a plastic liner of types in them but it has vent holes part way up for things to dry out if they get wet. I guess that It would not hurt anything .

They are water tight. I think they're fiberglass built into the boat.

I don't think that would be a problem. Just remember that it you plan on using it as a watertight compartment. The hols that I have in mine are about eight inches up so I still have somewhat of a watertight compartment.

how are you going to get wire to a sealed compartment. it may be full of foam. drill a small test hole, that can be patched.
