Hi all,

When I run my motor at wide open throttle for 5-10 mins it suddenly slows right down, it hasn't stalled out, it just runs as if its at about 1/4 throttle. Idling and trolling is not a problem.

The first time it happened it just just about threw me over the bow. The motor starts up OK and runs fine other then that. If I let the boat sit for a couple of hours, then I'm good for another run.

It sounds sort of like a gas starvation issue, however squeezing the ball makes no difference.

Exactly what rpms does it drop to? One possibility is the high speed stator winding is dropping out. Or you could be losing a couple of cylinders... Next time it does it check spark....
