I bought one of those 180 $ merc ignition sub-assembly from crowley,got the last one they said ,had broken/missing trigger arm,otherwise looks great.
I've read Daremo's posts but his motor is the jet,whereas mine is a1991 90hp 3cyl,same animal no? Ill use my old trigger( which checks out) and avoid replacing the flywheel .everything came assembled on a mounting plate that
looks great(there is a pic posted here somewhere)doesnt mount anywhere tho.
Has anyone done this ? it doesn't look like I cant use the mounting plate it came with 91 vs 96,but besides that my other concern is the terminal blocks where the tach and charging circuits are connected,Any one come by instructions to do this.do I tear out my 91 ignition diagram out of the book and start looking at the 96 diagram?
