warrenty/ethanol

Have a 2003 evinrude 250 bought in 2007 new with a 7 year warrenty. Florida just went to all ethonal and I wonder if this will affect the coverage?

Check your Owner's Manual. It should state that E10 is okay.

Every one of the "E10 doomsday folks" (and a few lawyers) ought to be tied behind a boat and dragged for a few miles to rid them of the notion that E10 is certain death to everything powered by an internal combustion engine - especially when they have no experience with it. Our state is in the eleventh year of using E10 and our engines are still purring nicely thank you! Use fuel stabilizer and stop all the fretting. You should be using stabilizer anyway so its not just an E10 thing.

There's been ethanol of varying percentages in the gas since the Carter administration. All you had to do was look at the fine print under the octane rating on the pump. E10 is just a new standard, not a new idea.

Get over it already.
