Default timing mariner 200

My manual calls for 2 to 7 degress AFTER TDC for idle timing on 1990 Mariner 200. Misprint or does that sound correct?

Sounds correct to me... The 'idle timing' is just a rough to start with... You will do the fine adjustment near the end of the timing and synch procedure...

Thanks for the help. I advanced the idle timing and she throttles up just fine.
