Trim goes down but want go up!

I have a 2004 johnson 4 stroke. The Trim on the handle will go down, but cant get it to go up, except sometimes in neutral. The trim button on the motor itself will rasie the motor up and down just fine. My guess is I have a wiring problem in the handle! Does anyone have any thoughts on this and if its just the switch or wire somewhere how costly is it?

Fish, You likely have a broken wire or intermittent switch in the handle. The only way to know is to take it apart and see what the issue is.
