I have a 1990 Johnson 8 hp outboard motor.
When I was re-assembling the carb after cleaning it I overtightened and cracked the plastic bowl and there is also a hairline crack in the top plastic plate. It's now leaking.
I was wondering what other carbs would be compatable with this motor? Would an older 8 hp carb (metal kind) work on this motor? Would a 6 hp or 9.9 hp work?
