I purchased a 2004 24' boat and galvanized double axle trailer last fall and was curious to know when the recommended timeframe is to replace the brakes. There is only brakes on (1) axle and I also noticed the brake line was unscrewed and trailer is used in salt water. I did however fill the master cylinder but did not notice the brake line unscrewed til this weekend.
If you think the brakes are still good what is the best way to check and fill the lines with fluid again ? how do you purge the system free of air ??
