Default 1979 mariner 140 hard starting

My boat is realy hard to start almost impossable with out the help of spraying something in the carbs that i shouldnt be ,Im am just desperate. Once I do get it started ,It will start every time with the bump of the key , What am i doing wrong ,I trie throttling up all the way or chocking it at the same time .It ll just keep cranking .

You are right. Spraying ether, carb cleaner, starting fluid etc in a 2 cycle is a big NO NO!!! I found this out the hard way. Just a guess, Are you priming the bulb to where its really tight???? If so, you may notice fuel seeping out of one or all the carbs. Inlines are REALLY a pain trying to get them started from cold....The key here is to act like you wanna flood it right off the bat, Pump the primer bulb til you get fuel running out of your carb throats, and use your electric choke while you are cranking and repeat. These monsters like lots of fuel and lots of throttle to wake them up especially first thing in the morning. Let me know
