Fuel is leaking at the electric prime at the base of the lever - leaks much more in manual position. With lever in normal position, fuel spurts out when electric choke is depressed. Removed bracket to remove unit - the manual I have is very basic - and there doesn't seem to be enough slack in lines to pull it out. I see no way to pull it out except straight out, but don't want to tug it not knowing what I might damage. Any step-by-step for a novice on this? What's behind it and shouldn't it just pull straight out.
fuel lines, an in line and out line. thats all. purple wire connect and the ground to the mounting screw. they do make a rebuild kit, or hunt ebay for a used one, new one +- $160.

Thanks much for the quick reply - got it off with some persuasion. The red indicator is split - or cracked? Could that cause the leak? The fuel looked like it was coming out from around the indicator. I looked at an exploded view, but couldn't tell if the indicator actually seals anything.

I found a parts breakdown for it. I pulled the cover and the plunger and springs appear good. How does the lever come out of the cover? Does it pull straight out seated in an O-Ring? I think I can get by with a lever, O-Ring and new gasket if I can get the lever out. Thanks much.
