goin through a 1985 85HP force thats ben sittin for 5 years! stator was a bit froze so after 5 days of PB blaster fly wheel pully wrench'n an whack'n the sob finaly popped BUT wont come up farthur then a 1/4 inch or so before it truly feals like its cought on somethin. im able to woble it an with some force move up an down that 1/4 inch but thats it. now it is a keyed fly wheel but but from what ive read that only plays a part on puting it back on, but am i wrong??? does it have to be in any particular alignment with the block or the stator even??? the magnet ive notice does want to start falling off the more i mess withit could that play a part. i dont want to wack at it from underneath but i tell ya im stumped ........and yes ive takin the nut all the way off the fly wheel bolt... please help its soo nice out why am i coverd in grease not spf 30
