I have a 1994 bayliner with a force 120 and the tilt doesn't work all the time, I think it's a couple of relays going bad. Does any know how to bypass the relays. I've done it years ago and the tilt started working after doing this a couple of times. I forget the web site that i found the information to trouble shoot the trim tilt. Any information would be great
thank you

relays usually go one direction or other. For example it goes up fine but has problems coming down. Switch the relays and see if problem reverses. If yes, then relays. If no, then probably something else.

to troubleshoot hydraulic problems lift engine fully and block into place. disconnect lower tilt oil tube from pump and cap it off. Since this is just testing, you don't need stainless or CuNi or anything ... you can get 3/16" brake fittings from your local auto parts store. Now that engine is lifted and oil tubes capped off (fluidtight) you remove blocking. If engine drops then cylinder is bad. If engine stays up then cylinder is good.
