I have a 1985 Bayliner Capri 1950 In/out... 4 cylinder 120 hp. Engine start up and idles fine, after about five minutes at WOT or so..it start to stall out and finally cuts out. Takes about 15-20 minutes to get it going. Idles fine, revs up fine out of gear, As soon as I put it in gear it and start to throttle up seems fine and then stalls out. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem once that was fixed by replacing the coil. Seems when the coil got hot, it caused my problems.

Is that the VP engine and drive? Post this on the mercruiser/vp webpage and I am sure one of those guys will help.
