Hi All, I have a dateline bounty with a 4.3 merc 205 hp. inboard. the engine is at the rear of the boat and have a rear bench seat. I also have a monkey bar fitted but still the wake is not great. any ideas on some weight/ballast to fit somewhere. the boat/engine is 20 yrs old but still going great and economical so would like to keep it.
Thanks
Abe

You can pick up some FAT SACKS for fairly cheap. Thats the way to go.

Back in the day people would use plastic garbage cans with good lids and fill them with water. Wire up an old bilge pump with a lighter adaptor on the end of the wires and use it to fill and empty the cans. Or help keep your boat from sinking if any of your water ballast systems fail. I have also seen plywood forms made to fit wherever possible, filled with concrete, plywood lid after conc has cured, handles or straps added to form to lift in and out with.
