The boat is 2004 and has only about 80 hrs on it. It is a 4.3L and is carburated. We keep it on a lake at 5500 feet all summer and then take it down the hill in winter. Had it serviced and tuned up last fall and this spring, when I put it in the lake, it does not run right. When it is normal temp 175, full throttle will cause it to stall and die. Also, coming off of 3000 rpm quickly, it will die. This past weekend, it is getting worse - I can keep it running at 2000-3000 rpm, but when I back off the throttle, it dies, and will not idle. I am thinking maybe a stuck float in the carb? Maybe gummed up from storage?

I would suggest the same, have the carb rebuilt. You could try Seafoam, but if it were mine, I'd rebuild the carb or have it done.
