how hard is it to pull a vortec 4.3 motor. i have a 17' baja sport and my oil pump took a dump. not sure how many bearings i spun but also dont know how the motor is connected to the drive unit . any help would be good

That stinks about the oil pump. Those are usually bulletproof on the 4.3's and SBC's

the boat is an 88 supposed to me an overhauled motor well i have my doughts. the motor is a vortec 4.3 with hei dist. i have no proplem rebuiling it but i am a car guy and dont know how boats work. there is no tranny. so how does it hook up to the outdrive i am a new boat owner and can use any help

You need to find out what outdrive you have. Mercury? OMC? Yamaha? etc. Also get the model and serial numbers off the drive, that can be helpful.
