Need Help wiring Invader

I have a 1985 invader 21' Cuddy. It has the Mercruiser 4 cyl Engine. I am looking for a wiring diagram for the Instrument Panel. I just bought the boat and noticed a loose heavy guage orange wire hanging underneath the instrument panel. It looks like a pretty important wire and would like some help. Any assistance is appreciated.

Not likely to find a wiring diagram since even today, boat manufacturers are very lacking in that detail. So the question for you is what doesn't work. That's probably what the wire is for. Heavy gauge as in what gauge?
