Hello does anyone know the location of the Neutral Start Switch on a 2001 40hp elhpto motor. my motor has intermitent starating issues and where i have to put it into forward and then neutral again before i can get it to start. i have a service manual, but can not seem to find the location. If you have any other troubleshooting tips that would be great also.
is this a tiller or a remote. if a remote it's in the controll box.but before you tare the box apart remove it and then remove the bolt on the back side the handle will come off and see if the natural detent is ok thats the white block behind the handel.

Hello This is still bugging me i found the nutral interlock switch on the right side of the motor under the end of the gear shift lever. I tested it with my multimeter, and it seems ok? does anyone have any other suggestions? it also might just be "intermittently bad" but i hate throwing parts at something without checking for other possibilities as well.
