I just bought a boat with a mercury 125 hp engine. I am pretty sure that it is a 1969 although all the stuff is scratched off(scary) it is a 1250 though i know that.
It ran for a minute than quit all together. upon inspectino the wires were all corroded real bad and now the engine won't get any spark. I believe it is the module and the trigger.(very expensive and trigger is actually not available) So now i have stuck with a 125 h.p. anchor. Are there any kits or anthing available to rebuild or exchange alltogether the ignition system with something possibly cheaper...and possibly available?
