We have a Yamaha 70 (1999) on a centre console.
We have just fitted a new console so had to remove all the wiring.
We have reinstalled and have connected the remote harness back into the control box (a standard morse control) We connected the harness to the ingition, deadman switch, buzzer and tilt by matching the various coloured wires but have one blue wire from the harness left over with no where to plug in.
The tilt works from the remote control but we have no power from the start switch and the enging will not crank over.
We have connected all the instruments but not the sppedo which is broken so we do not intend to refit it.
Is the blue wire important and where does it go?
