I have just baught a boat with a 1991 evinrude 88hp, The boat has not been out this year and only twice last year. As I was cleaning the boat, I trimed the motor down to get it to fit into my garage. About two hours later, I noticed a spot of oil-- dark brown-almost black, clean, smells like lower unit oil, about as round as a small paper plate- that came out of the propeller shaft. What should I do? I know nothing about the lower units on boats. Could this be normal. The boat does not have an automatic oil mixer? What do you all think? thanks
