Replacing main harness connection of 94 60 hp Merc

I've been helping my neighbour chase down a problem with the low oil sensor alarm. We finally tracked it down to the main harness connection. When we giggle/move the connection just the right way the alarm stops. Move it ever so slightly and it goes off again.

So to replace that connection what needs to be done? Can a new plug be spliced in or does the entire harness need to be replaced?
