Wiring A Tach?

I want to install a tach so I don't over-rev my motor and find the correct prop its a 55hp Johnson (1974 I think). I also have a faria tach (found it cheep on kijiji)

I have very little wiring experiance so any help is apreciated.

Would I be better off to order/find a tiny tach?
