i have a 1959 evinrude v4s11 and i was wondering if i can run it out of water or will it over heat none of the guages are attached yet. mabye a garbage can of water?
Boss, Put in into a large garbage can and fill it up to the brim. Keep the hose running into the can as water will be spilled. Be careful if you put it into gear.
BTW - That motor never had any gauges, except perhaps a ammeter and maybe a tach. You only really need a fuel gauge with that fat fifty!
