The Problem:
I have a hard time starting and idleing my Johnson 4.5 2 stroke. At first I thought it was a carberator problem as I bought a carb kit and completely cleaned it out and replaced many parts. However it still has the exact same problem as before. I can use an electric drill to start it, however I cannot pull start it. Now I fear the worse and think it may be a compression problem. I do get good spark from both plugs but have not performed a spark test. Does this sound like a compression problem or an electrical problem? One of the coil wires was pinched, but I beleive that I repaired that problem. I actually think it was easier to start when she was just running with one spark plug.
Does this sound like a compression problem or an electrical problem?
