Having some trouble getting the old girl to run,
Recently tore the carbs all apart carb cleaned them all everything seems to be okay to me,
Motor will start run fine for about 5-6 seconds and then dies, almost like its not getting gas, Primer bulb stays hard and the bowl on the carb is filling up
Lots of good spark just no go
I end just keep ending up with a dead battery and no running motor,

Any ideas?
The idle adjustment screw i have screwed all the way in and backed out 1 1/2
Any help would be greatly apperciated,
Thanks guys

the only difference is you have an adjustable, low speed instead of a fixed low speed. sounds like float sticking. if you did all of this the carb should be ok. then try 5/8 turns out from seated. charge battery fully.

Still no luck idling it,
The motor will start and run as long as i keep it revving high, the moment i let off it dies,
The float doesnt appear to be sticking,
Ive played around with the idle screw tried everything and still nothing i even tore it down re - cleaned it and still no,

I hear people talking about carb link and sync, not sure as to what this is but could this be something?

Any other ideas?
Thanks

try low speed adjustment at 5/8 turn out. some of the early 70's liked that setting. link in sinc, is the coordination of spark and carbs. it is a step by step process in the correct manual for your motor.
