convert 1996 omc controls to 1989 evinrude looper

converting newer controls w/ 6-pin deutsch plug to a '89 evinrude looper. would still like vro and alarms to work. number of wires and colors are different... any help appreciated. thanks!

they make a conversion pig tail for the direct conversion. see dealer.
