I believe this one is made by Yamaha

Serial number is:

8M

6G1-S-019970

It says '6G1'

Everything I posted above is what I copied off the motor

The '8M' was on a seperate plate

My Mariner is similar and I would like to know the year.

8G1 S 022642

Due to local corrosion the first digit could be 8 or 6 or 0.
