hi all newby here hope ive posted in thr right section. so here goes i have a yamaha based 8hp mariner outboard and wanted to know if a 9.9hp gearbox will fit .i have the original gearbox from the engine i bought, but last owner split the engine to fit a new impeller but forced the driveshaft out of the gearbox and i suspect the small circlip from the end of the shaft is still in the box and is im unable to dismantle it as the cover behind the prop is seized i need to replace the box........hope someone can help
