I am not sure what it is called, but near the controls of every boat I have seen is a sign tells you what the person and load limit is for the boat. My boat does not have one. Am I required to have this? Where do I get one from?

How old is your boat? If it was made before Nov 1972 it isn't required to have a capacity plate. In KS the law on persons capacity is the length of boat multiplied by the beam of boat (in feet) / 15. So my 15ft long, 6 ft wide boat has the capacity of 6 persons

The boat was manufactured in `85. There are some small wholes where I think it was posted. Any idea where to get a replacement?
