I put the motor in gear,forward, and the engine revs but does not move. put it in reverse and it does move backwards. looks like the linkage is working at the motor. Please advise.
Does the prop turn at all in fwd? If so, test for a spun prop hub. If not, you may need to check the shift linkage adjustment. An OEM shop manual might be helpful.
