86 MFB Caprice

I just bought this 86 mfb caprice with a 1984 85 hp force outboard for $1000. was it worth that much?

its in good condition but the only thing is the motor slips out of gear at wot... but only when its already up on plane.

sounds like the clutch dog is going in the lower unit.

thats what I heard. to get it in forward or reverse you have to move the throttle pretty far forward or backward from neutral.
