J225-89 Upper main bearing replacement

Hi! Nem to this forum - in matter of asking questions anyway. A lot of information on the same place - It?s great!

I have a question about my Johnson 225 1989 (J225PLCED).

I need to replace the upper main bearing and I can?t remember if it?s possible to dismount the crankcase head from the top by simply "pulling it out" or if I have to disassemble the entire powerhead. Anyone how knows?

Yep, it'll come out without taking the motor apart. Why does it need to be replaced?
