1998 Mercury 150 XR6 alarms

Last time out both alarms went on. First the high heat alarm went on .After
stopping and restarting a few times it went off. Then the low oil alarm went on (beep,beep, beep).Shut off engine ckecked oil level in tank (half full)then
checked tank under cowl (full ). Started up again alarm went on again didn't want to take the chance so I got towed in. Any ideas?

You should throw out Mr. Murphey before you go for a boat ride.

About all you can do now is put it on the muffs, add oil to the main tank (or a small tank for testing) and go through the troubleshooting alarms procedure to isolate the cause.

Sounds like more than one fault at a time.
