I recently had new electronics installed that included the addition of a gps antennae on a 4" straight mount. Against my wishes, the installer put it where I really didn't want it. Wrong side and to close to the edge. Not the end of the world but it really bugs me. Anyone ever repair holes in an aluminum radar arch? There are 3 small screw holes and a larger center hole for the cable. Obvious answer seems to get the holes filled with weld and ground smooth and painted. Any other options?

If it's a painted surface, Plastic Putty of most any sort will make them disappear...

Other option (cheapo)Put Stainless steel screws in the 3 small holes wiht a little silcone sealer on them and large hole get a plastic or rubber plug. Auto parts/hardware stores plugs for antenna holes

Thanks for the replies.........Thought about screws and a plug but I'm pretty picky and was hoping for a fix that will make me forget teh mistake. I'll keep that as an option though. To the best of my knowledge the arch is painted. I'll look into the putty option as well.

If you use the "fill" method.Use Evercoat Formula 27 or Marine Tex, I like the 27 because it sands better than Marine Tex.Counter sink the holes to get more surface area for the fill to stick to.
