Every now and again when I throttle up to get on plane the engine seems to stumble and act underpowered like it is being starved for fuel. Only for a few seconds then it wakes up and get on with it.

It has a new fuel/water seperator and I allways run ethonal free gasoline.

88 Mercury Alpha 1 350

Thanks

Re: Engine Bogs Down

Could be the accelerator pump in the carb, or even just a idle mixture problem. May just need a good tuneup to burn the gas that it gets.
