I am looking at this type anchor which is advertised on this site. My boat is 19 ft glastron. The site lists 3 different wt anchors but no description as to which one is used for what size boat. I just lost a danforth style so I thought I would try these. Overton's list only one size of these but I cannot compare it to any one listed on this site. Please help. Thanks

Re: Chene anchor help

Can I assume that the ring slides down to release the anchor on these? Which one for a 19' boat? Price is reasonable. Thanks

The 6 or 8 pound ones for your boat.
The 6 pounder is rated for 17 to 19 footers.
If it were me, I would buy the 8 pound one as the 6 pounder is at the high end of it's limit with a 19 foot boat.

Ok, but what about the ring, does it slide down the shaft to release the anchor? The pic or description does not say or show that. Thanks

Are these better than a Chene?

Re: Chene anchor help

yes. for a stuck anchor, you move 180 degrees from where you were anchored, and pull, it will release.
