Wiring is selfcontained in the harness and control box, including battery cables. You can get a control box and harness with cables on ebay or other such sight for anywhere from $50 up to $180. Make sure you know the length you need, measuring on your boat and adding 2 feet worked for me. You can go to
www.maxrules.com/, it has all the info you will need to find out what year your motor is and has the wiring diagram in color. You can also find most of the parts you need for repairs here on iboats. There is also oldmercruiser.com that you can get info off of and many more sights that sell parts, google mercury parts for sale, most are very expensive overall compared to this sight or ebay. You should also search your motor on this sight forum as you can read old posts about every concievable problem you might have and not repost a question that has already been asked/answered thus putting you two steps ahead. I have saved a lot of this info in word documents for future reference. No offense to ThumbPkr but I always thought this sight was here to cut down on the amount of leg work needed for newbies. Help them out with solid advice and get them to help support this sight through purchases. I went through a lot of useless web sights before falling on this sight by accident. I wish I had found it and the great wealth of info it contains sooner then I did.
