First Problem:
Motor does not accelerate in reverse and goes very slow. Any suggestions?

Second and more major problem:
Motor starts and initially (first time in the water for the day) takes off fine with good forward power.
After ? to ? mile the engine dies, after it sits for a short time it will usually start again and then sometimes run at full power again for ? to ? mile before stopping again.
Sometimes after doing this several times it will only run in forward about 1/3 normal top end but only at full throttle, if you pull back on the throttle it will usually die.

I thought it might be the fuel filter but that is clean and doesn?t seem to be the problem and I have the vent open on the fuel tank.

When I checked the fuel filter when it stalled one time it was full of fuel.
The bulb on the fuel line is usually firm, but not always as it seems to have some air in it sometimes. Changed fuel lines and tanks and has same problems.

Help - I like the boat and when the engine runs well (not long) it seems to be a great engine -- until it dies!!
