when i lift the motor up out of the water to trail it, it leaks gas out of the bottom near the carborators. it eventualy stops but happens every time. the motor runs great but has this problem and realy don't want to run it if leaking gas.
i think it may be just a seal in one/more of the carborators or maybe a butterfly in one/more.

It really depends on the year of the motor as the older style carbs did leak fuel when tilted up. disconnect the fuel line when you are traveling. Also check for any obvious leaks at fuel lines etc.
