My '78 35hp rude shakes at idle, when it does this it moves the timing and throttle linkage causing it to poof and sputter. When its in the water running it does fine. I can hold the cowling still and it levels off runs fine. Good comp. #1 90psi- #2 92 psi, recent rebuilt carb. Do I need new rubber mounts/grommets? Anybody got a part number on these? please help!!!

Re: 1978 35hp rude shaking at idle

Thanks for the reply. All linkage seems tight. Got spark on both cyl's I'm going to try and play with carb adjust the only adjust ment I have is the lean/ adjustment on the front. I still wonder about the grommets/ mounts their still intact just after 30 years I wonder if they are worn letting it move more than it needs causing the sync to be thrown off. Causing the sputter at idle.
