Lost the lower cylinder so I replaced powerhead with a used one I had. I had just replaced water pump impeller etc. and it pumped water great. Now with the other powerhead the water "pee" is very weak. The powerhead had been stored for about 18 months. It runs great and does not overheat but it seems strange it does not pump like before. Should I be checking anything?

The replacement PH may have some crap trapped inside. The tell tale doesn't tell you much, other than the pump is working. I've never considered it too important, although some get really anal over it.
I would probably start then by pulling the tell tale line and nipple off, thoroughally cleaning, then re installing. Sometimes critters love to build nests in there, restricting water flow.
I have done that and it is still the same. I guess I should try to remove the plastic 90 degree fitting that comes out of the water jacket to see if that is clogged. Thanks for the feedback but just courieous why you ask for the compression readings ?
Well I found the problem. It was the 90 degree fitting on the water jacket. There was a small piece of black rubber stuck in the 90. Looks like it might have been a piece of the impeller. All is well now. Thanks
