Here's the motor.
1999 Blue water series
Serial #0g927737
First
Is this the 3.0L series?
Second.
This motor sat with fuel in the VST for 2 years. I then bought the motor.
I cleaned out the VST. I cleaned out the Fuel Pumps (2) with gumout carb cleaner. It ran fine on the muffs. I used a mixed gas to start it first ( waking it up). Then did the trailer test. Backed it into the river on the trailer and ran it under a load. It pushed just fine. both directions.
I went out in the water and it fell on its face. It died. I had to tilt up to get it started again.
Is the needle valve in the VST bad? Should the fuel pump be warm (not hot) when running?
