I'm new to the board, but have gotten alot of good info from you guys.
Here is my problem.
The engine will only run for approximately 4 minutes and then slowly boggs down to an idle. If I prime the fuel bulb, it will pick back up and run for another 4 minutes. This will happen all day as long as I pump the bulb. The engine will run at full throttle, mid throttle or idle and then start to hesitate and cut out until I pump the bulb again.
What in the heck is going on????????
What I Checked So Far..
Tightened up all the fuel lines, checked fuel filter in the mixing chamber for the VRO. (Side Note) The oil portion of the VRO was disconnected and capped.
My next step is to attach a vaccum gauge before the VRO fuel pump to see if its pulling the correct vaccum, then I'm going to attach a fuel pressure gauge after the VRO pump to see if the output pressure is correct.
I have to believe that the VRO is working because it will pump the fuel from the mixing chamber to the carbs, but it seems like the the square mixing chamber is not holding a prime and not able to keep fuel in.
It feels like when I prime the system and the fuel mixing chamber is full, it will only run on that amount of fuel until you prime the bulb again.
Is my primer bulb bad??
Do I have a air leak somewhere???
Any help would be greatly appreciated
As I fear that I might pull the remaining hair out of my head...LOL
either your fuel pump is failing, or your float needle is sticking, and priming the bulb, is forcing it open. is the vent clear on the fuel tank?
seeing you are already mixing fuel/oil, i would change the fuel pump out to the 112hp fuel straight fuel pump. the 115 and 112 are the same motor, except the 112 uses premixed fuel, straight pump #433387 you can view here, http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index....cfd8a6471c0f7f

I purchased the pump you suggested and will install it this afternoon.
When I remove the entire fuel module and mount this pump, I assume that I will have to tee off the outlet of the pump to either fuel manifolds.
I dont see a provision for a pulse line on the new pump so I'm assuming that I dont need one.
Seeing as how the current fuel module fuel filter will be taken off, which type of inline fuel filter would you reccomend that I use between the incoming fuel line and inlet of the new pump.
Thank you,
PS, If I ever get in your neck of the woods beers are on me!!!!!!!
