Question Steering Slack, 89 Capri Cuddy 125 Force

I got some slack going on with this boat. What could be the problem? How to fix? Simple fix?

I installed a new rack/pinion steering. Still some slack in the wheel but havn't tried it out on the water yet.

Thanks for the hundreds of replys, don't know how I could have done it without all the help here.

Your Sarcasm is dually noted.

Wish I could help, but this one is beyond me. I still haven't figured out how to center my steering wheel.

Good Luck!

On the bottom of my steering wheel, there is a bolt/screw that can be tightened and loosened by hand. I was trying to figure out the exact purpose of this bolt. When I tightened it, I picked up some of the slack in the steering. This may also allow you to center your wheel, but it did not give me enough to center mine.
