Trying to lync and sync an '88 175 yamaha. The clymer manual gives different needle valve setting for different carbs; G501, G502, and G503 for the 175hp motors. My engine shows carbs stamped G505????? The Yamaha shop manual makes no mention of these different carbs.
Any advise would help.
According to the manual that I have your pilot screw (low speed idle screw) is to be 1 1/8 to 1 5/8 turns out (I'd start at 1.5 turns out) and the float drop is .61 to .65 if an inch.
