I have a 1967 45 HP chrysler with the original prop. The prop that is on the motor now is 10 3/8 x 11 1/2 prop. There is one on ebay for a chrysler 45 that is 10 1/2 x 12. This is on a 16 ft bluefin aluminum boat. Performance and hole shot is good on the current prop however it is severely dinged. I dont have a tach for this motor. I am guessing total weight including me is around 1200 lb maybe less. My question is what will I expect to see with this different prop. They seem pretty similar. I only plan on a couple of years out of this set up and a hundred dollar prop is more then the boat and motor are worth. In other words I am cheap.
