You will get better help if you post the model number of the motor. Could be fuel related or electronic. The best route to follow is to get compression tested, spark tested. Then rebuild the carbs and fuel pump and do a link and sync. What color stator does this motor have. Red or black. Pull all the spark plugs and look at the tips. Describe how they look. Black and oily, Brown and dry. Two dirty and one clean. How the plugs look, The color of the stator and the model number are free so do those first then post the results back here.

If the junk in the carb bowls looked gritty and black, it is most likely from a defective fuel pump diaphragm. The fuel pump is on the side of the engine just below the electronics. Six screws hold the cap onto the body. Order a new diaphragm and gasket and replace both on general principals.--It will only cost about 6 bucks.

Then buy a 3 dollar plastic automobile fuel filter and install it between the fuel pump and carbs.

If the problem still continues, check for clogs in the fuel line from the pump back to the tank. If you have a quick- connect on the tank, remove and clean the male fitting from the threaded end. It collects crap inside behind the ball and spring
