1967 40hp seahorse timing belt help

I was given a 40hp seahorse that I was told the timing belt was bad in, my question is this where can I get one and what is the correct timing set? I have searched the net for the part but have had no luck///also looking for a good shop manual. thanks for the help

The only "timing" belt on a 40 is the generator drive belt, on motors so equipped. It only drives the generator and no timing is involved. Just put it on and adjust the tension. Part number is 305679 and is listed as no longer available. Try http://www.sea-way.com/index.htm

They have factory shop manuals right here at iboats.
