I am going from a 1961 40 horse 35525 outboard to a 1960 40 horse 35520 model. The wiring harness for the 1960 model is bad, so I am using the plugin harness from the 1961 model. All wires match up okay except for not having a connection for the wire on the 1960 motor that comes out of the powerhead back by the lower spark plug. Do I need that wire connected? What would I connect it too?
